“A reflection on slowing down, reconnecting and creating with your hands.”
For over ten years, graphic design has been my creative language. I’ve worked with colour, composition and form but almost always through the filter of a screen. I love it, truly. Yet somewhere along the way, I began to crave something slower, something tactile. I missed the feeling of creating with my hands, the quiet rhythm and the physical connection to materials. Only stillness, presence and flowing creativity.
I started out with no goal other than to make a conscious choice to slow down and create something beautiful. I became aware of the feeling I experienced while making with my hands. The slow mornings in my coastal studio experimenting, the intentional thought in every detail, the peaceful almost meditative state of mind you experience while making with my hands. I felt grounded, calm, connected and want others to experience this feeling when interacting with the pieces too.
What began as a personal exploration, blossomed into a need to create pieces that felt effortless yet meaningful, imbued with the quiet energy that only something made by hand can hold. Each collection now carries that same energy. Made slowly and thoughtfully, for those who value true creative process and the beauty and authenticity in the handcrafted.
